“Zedd, The Hibiscus God”

This is a giclee print of “Zedd The Hibiscus God” by Fabrice Guerrier.

Hibiscus flowers flowed endlessly during my years growing up in Haiti, harboring deep memories of bliss, care, and the vividness of life. They represent an essence of the natural world that incites wonder in me.

We used to make hibiscus tea, and the flowers came in various colors—red, yellow, white, orange, and even pink—each with its own aesthetic beauty. I found myself asking: what would the soul of the hibiscus collective look like? What would a hibiscus god embody?
