“Papa Legba”

This is a giclee print of the original “Papa Legba” by Fabrice Guerrier.

Papa Legba is often synchronized with St. Peter in Christianity, as both are seen as keepers of the gate to heaven. As all things in the physical world originate in the spiritual, Papa Legba serves as the guardian between the spiritual and earthly realms, and I believe is a celestial being of profound order and power.

With 31 eyes. Tectonic shifts.

Papa Legba, the Loa God of crossroads in Haitian mythology and Vodou, is the master of the crossroads. He is the first deity invoked to open the flow of energy and clear pathways that have been blocked for eons.

This painting is for those seeking to remove obstacles, allowing things to move and flow naturally in alignment with the spiritual realm. It was one of the first major works in my exploration of the power of sight, visions, and the symbolic, shamanic meaning of eyes.
